Mathtype has an error on my pc. I’m running Vista x86. It does not open the mathtype window in powerpoint or word 2007. Help?

I start up my computer and the Windows Installer keeps trying to install this program (I already have Word Perfect Office 12). Ever since I deleted a seperate Corel program, Roxio PhotoSuite or something, it makes me click out of this installation cycle over and over again. Any advice? Thank you.
I have Windows XP if that helps.

The first time I tried to install it the progress went about half way time I got this: Error 1937 then I tried again and the progression bar never even moved and after about 5 fun filled minutes Error 1305 poped up. The last error also stated “set up can not find file c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\1033\ MSE.HXS.” My computer had a virus and I completely wiped it clean and ran my reboot disk then bought this package of Microsoft Office from my college library. What do I do to fix this thing?

Since December, I’ve been having problems with my computer since I accidentally visited a suspicious site (clicked onto the search result from google). I was advised to install Trend Micro RUBotted and have done so and every week or so, a popup comes up saying that someone has launched malicious content on my computer by remote control and I should run Trend Micro House Call. I always do that and everything is fine. but today I keep getting red errors saying that theres a problem with java and sometimes a grey popup comes up saying ‘ the application requires an earlier version of java. do you want to continue?’ and at the bottom, it says ‘the required version of java, 1.6.0-oem is not the latest and may not cotnain the latest security updates’
I’ve already updated to the newest version of Java and idk how to install an older version. I went to:http://java.sun.com/products/archive/
but I dont understand what I should select on the dropdown menus to get 1.6.0-oem.
idk if i should even bother with this RUBotted program, but I’m scared that someone will get access to my computer remotely. Please help!!

I am sure i have a virus in my computer, i have Norton 360 and whenever i run a scan with it, no matter how long i leave it, it never completes, the same with windows defender.
I tried downloading Malwarebytes anti-malware but once it did, it would not run. i received the error message; Malwarebytes anti-malware stopped working, windows is checking for a solution to this problem.
I then tried downloading SUPERantispyware with the same thing to happen.
I run with Windows Vista, please help but i can’t pay for other programs because i’m short on cash.

E.g., when I switch my laptop on, an error box appears. It states “Application failed to initialise 0×800106ba. A problem caused this program service to stop. Restart your computer or search Help & Support for help and information on how to start manually.”
Before I installed McAfee this box did not appear, so what I now have to do, is just close the error box; but it is a bit of a nuisance.

I simply recorded a video through my hypercam2 and uploaded it straight to youtube. and got an error message.
I cleared my history and cookies etc.

There are some software for example of TrueCrypt that I have tested that can be installed into Windows 7 RC version, but cannot be installed into Windows 7 RTM version.
I need to know what is the difference between these 2 version, in terms of their services and or another other factors that can attribute to such an error in the installation of TrueCrypt in Windows 7 RTM version.
Can anyone help?

has no suggestion for it. I have search for Spyware and Adware and Viruses. I am now running SP2 but I getting the same problem before I upgraded. Windows is completely up todate also
Sometimes Windows Media Player also errors – that reports an error with Divx and has no fix.
Any ideas with either problem
